Feature Description

The YCT series electromagnetic speed - regulating motors are reliable speed - regulating devices. They can perform uniform, continuous, and stepless speed regulation within the specified range and output the rated torque. The speed variation is less than 3%. They have the characteristics of simple structure, convenient use, large starting torque, smooth starting, and a wide speed - regulating range.

Explanation of Motor Enclosure Protection Level

It details the various protection values for solid motors, including the diameter or thickness of wires or strips that can be prevented from touching or approaching live or rotating parts inside the enclosure, as well as other functions.

Interpretation of the Numbers after the Protection Level P

The first digit
Indicates the degree of protection provided by the enclosure for people and internal components of the enclosure.
The second digit
Indicates the degree of protection against harmful effects caused by water ingress into the enclosure.

1 Motor protected against solids larger than 50mm Can prevent accidental or unintentional contact and approach of large parts of the human body (such as hands) to live or rotating parts inside the enclosure (but cannot prevent intentional contact). 1 Drip - proof motor Vertical dripping water should have no harmful effects.
2 Motor protected against solids larger than 12mm Can prevent fingers or similar objects no longer than 80mm from touching or approaching live or rotating parts inside the enclosure. 2 15° drip - proof motor When the motor is tilted from the vertical position to any angle within 15° in any direction, vertical dripping water should have no harmful effects.
3 Motor protected against solids larger than 2.5mm Can prevent tools or wires with a diameter larger than 2.5mm from touching or approaching live or rotating parts inside the enclosure. 3 Rain - proof motor Rain within an angle of 60° from the vertical line should have no harmful effects.
4 Motor protected against solids larger than 1mm Can prevent wires or strips with a diameter or thickness larger than 1mm from touching or approaching live or rotating parts inside the enclosure. 4 Splash - proof motor It should be able to withstand splashing water from any direction without harmful effects.
5 Dust - protected motor Can prevent contact or approach to live or rotating parts inside the enclosure. Although it cannot completely prevent dust from entering, the amount of dust entering is not enough to affect the normal operation of the motor. 5 Water - jet - proof motor It should be able to withstand water jets from any direction without harmful effects.
6 Dust - tight motor Completely prevent dust from entering. 6 Sea - wave - proof motor When subjected to violent sea - wave impacts or strong water jets, the amount of water entering the motor should not reach a harmful level.
7 Submersible - proof motor When the motor is immersed in water at a specified pressure for a specified time, the amount of water entering the motor should not reach a harmful level.
8 Continuously - submersible motor The motor can be submerged in water for a long time under the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
